EMPIRE OF STORMS

Release Date:

September 6th

Why I’m Excited:

Do I even need to explain? I think me and the entire world has been on the edge of our seats waiting for this book! Sarah has created such an epic series, I am so excited to read what she’s written for our favorite characters. The end of Queen of Shadows left me with so many questions, and I can’t wait to get back into this world. Plus, more Rowan, so what other reason do you need to be excited for this one?

KIDS OF APPETITE

Release Date:

September 20th

Why I’m Excited:

I’ve been seeing some fantastic reviews of this book already. Described as a “tragicomedy about first love and devastating loss,” this sounds like just my cup of tea. The synopsis lists ten things this story is about, including “Sunsets & ice cream & orchards & graveyards,” “A coded mission to scatter ashes across New Jersey,” and “Falling in love.” um, YES PLEASE.

CROOKED KINGDOM

Release Date:

September 27th

Why I’m Excited:

Leigh Bardugo’s Six of Crows was beyond amazing. It was a story about a ragtag group of misfits and criminals attempting an impossible heist, and so so much more. I can’t wait to get back to the Dregs, I love them so much.

THIS ADVENTURE ENDS

Release Date:

October 4th

Why I’m Excited:

Emma Mills is a fantastic person! I love her youtube videos, and I adored her YA debut, First & Then. She writes such cute contemporary stories, and I know we’re in for a treat with This Adventure Ends, too. She’s also coming to my local bookstore this fall, I can’t wait to meet her!

WHAT LIGHT

Release Date:

October 11th

Why I’m Excited:

Jay wrote one of the more impactful stories that I read as an early teenager: 13 Reasons Why. I just know that Jay Asher has written yet another amazing contemporary about redemption and love and I’m so excited. Plus it’s set on a christmas tree farm in Oregon, how perf?! I love holiday books, so really it’s bound to be amazing.

TWELVE DAYS OF DASH AND LILY

Release Date:

October 18th

Why I’m Excited:

I love all of the books Rachel and David write together, and Dash & Lily has a special place in my heart. Just like Lily, I adore the holiday season. I also adore love stories. Together, along with revisiting a favorite couple, we’ve got a killer combination. Can’t WAIT. <3 I freaked when it was announced!

GEMINA

Release Date:

October 18th

Why I’m Excited:

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That’s the state of my emotions when I think about reading this book. Illuminae completely surprised me with how much I loved in, it really kept me on the edge of my seat, and I just KNOW this one will too! New set of characters, with visits from Katy and Ezra? This is going to be a thrill ride and I am so excited for it.

THE SUN IS ALSO A STAR

Release Date:

November 1st

Why I’m Excited:

Everything, Everything was another surprise favorite from last year. Nicola has quickly become a favorite, and I am very excited for her newest book! The cover is completely gorgeous, i’m seriously in love. I have no doubt that I will love her second book as much as the first!

HEARTLESS

Release Date:

November 8th

Why I’m Excited:

Marissa Meyer writes such amazing YA fairy tale sci-fi retellings, and I have a feeling Heartless will be no exception! One of my favorite classics and childhood favorites is Alice in Wonderland, so I am so happy Marissa has decided to take on this world and these characters. I can’t wait to see a young red queen, and read a story full of love, bakeries, monsters, and pure magic.
