January Book Haul!

I really can’t believe that it’s February of 2016. Like, how is that even a thing. My mind doesn’t really comprehend where this past month has gone, but if there’s one thing that’s for sure, it’s that I’ve been buying books at an above-normal speed!

Some of these are highly anticipated debuts, others are old favorites, some presents, and some were just cheap on Book Outlet!

These are all the books I acquired in January!

  1. Truthwitch by Susan Dennard– it’s basically all anyone is talking about lately, so I decided to preorder it, but I think I’m going to wait awhile before I pick this one up.
  2. I’ll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson– this is one of my favorite books EVER and so naturally when it was on book depository, I HAD to have another copy. Maybe I’ll give it to someone as a present soon.
  3. Fire by Kristin Cashore- I don’t know very much about this one, but one of my best friend gave it to me for christmas! So I trust her judgement.
  4. Graceling by Kristin Cashore- I also received this as a gift from one of my best friends, along with Fire.
  5. Kisses and Curses anthology- I seriously love anthologies, and this one caught my eye with Marissa Meyer and a few others having short stories inside of it!
  6. Broken Hearts, Fences, and Other Things to Mend by Katie Finn- I really really loved Katie Finn aka Morgan Matson, and these books totally keep me guessing. I have this in an older hardcover, with the original cover, so I wanted this cover in paperback!
  7. Twenty Boy Summer by Sarah Ockler- I LOVE her other books, so I am really excited to read this one.
  8. Uprooted by Naomi Novik- Uprooted was SO GOOD, and I read it as an audio book so naturally I had to get the physical copy. Review coming soon!
  9. Passenger by Alexandra Bracken- I couldn’t just not pick up this one, which everyone has been reading and loving!
  10. Side Effects May Vary by Julie Murphy- I saw this on BD, and I thought I might as well pick it up, since I have heard lovely thing
  11. Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge- If you read my TTT from last week, you’ll know that I adore fairy tale retellings, and this one is REALLY high on my TBR!
  12. The Other Normals by Ned Vizzini- The Other Normals was a unique story that I really enjoyed, but read as a library book, so I bought it when I saw it on BD. As someone who plays D&D, I loved this book!

Have you read any of these? What was your favorite book that you picked up or read this month?
